Overview

The SVP, Anesthesia Revenue Cycle Management provides cross-functional leadership that facilitates an effective operation of the entire end-to-end anesthesia revenue cycle process within the organization. This person will coordinate all Anesthesia Revenue Cycle Management and will be a pivotal player in delivering the next generation Anesthesia Revenue Cycle performance improvement to Jackson Healthcare. The position will provide strategic guidance of the Anesthesia Revenue Cycle operations to ensure the overall success of the business.

Description

Responsibilities:

  • Lead delivery of performance improvement of Anesthesia Revenue Cycle operations and technology
  • Create a clear strategic vision and operationalize strategic initiatives for anesthesia revenue cycle that support business objectives
  • Develop and implement cost effective Anesthesia Revenue Cycle strategies with a focus on integration with hospital systems, medical group providers, and payor networks
  • Establish KPIs and objective performance metrics for managing Anesthesia Revenue Cycle effectiveness
  • Establish processes to ensure KPI targets are met.
  • Monitor the industry for developments in Anesthesia Revenue Cycle operations
  • Evaluate and implement relevant new tools and service management frameworks
  • Ensure all technological upgrades/installations complement and contribute to the efficiencies of all Anesthesia Revenue Cycle Departments.
  • Deep knowledge of compliance requirements related to self-pay and account receivables management,  TCPA, 501R etc.
  • Experience leading and growing the P&L of a solutions business within a medium to large size healthcare organization.

Requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or Healthcare Administration.
  • Master's degree in Hospital or Business Administrations (MBA) strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of at least ten (10) years experience in the healthcare industry, including five (5) years managing employees in the revenue cycle department
  • HFMA or MGMA certification a plus
  • HIMSS or AHIMA certification a plus
  • Lean/Six Sigma certification a plus

Competencies and Required Skills:

  • Strong analytical skills, with proven ability to mentor and teach.
  • Must have ability to take charge and lead a team
  • Skilled in directing the work and activities of staff with the ability to effectively delegate
  • Knowledge of and skill in developing tools to manage complex operating department roles within Revenue Cycle functions
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with current practices, regulations and techniques in revenue cycle services
  • Knowledge and experience in building and supporting teams / collaborative workgroups
  • Knowledge of the principles of information management to effectively analyze data to support decision making
  • Strong communication skills with ability to listen actively and respond to employees, physicians, patients and payer issues in a competent manner
  • Ability to establish a culture of high performance at all levels
  • Ability to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team
  • Ability to identify external and internal changes and communicate with leadership to engage in responsive initiatives or actions both functionally and system-wide
  • Must be professional with ability to lead projects and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrate ability to analyze, report, and provide summary of functional Revenue Cycle areas
  • Experience With Excel, Power Point, Word, Visio, Etc.
