Job Summary

The Clinical Services Manager (CSM) will be responsible for executing clinical assessments for agency Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) at the placement stage while making professional recommendations to ensure the best placement with the client. The CSM will be responsible for providing clinical guidance and education to the Clinical Services and Account Management team.  The CSM will also lead in the development of screening/interview tools, and an interview profile form to send to clients (Hospital’s and other Healthcare Organizations).


Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Clinically screen and assess agency nurses, therapist, and other clinical disciplines for the HWL MSP Program.  Screenings will be completed by phone or video.
  • Build a database of facility definitions (trauma level, rural, academic) to coincide with HWL client base.
  • Develop clinically based scenario questions and tools, as needed, to comprehensively assess HCPs qualifications. 
  • Act as a point of contact within the Client Services team for clinical advice/guidance regarding questions and concerns about placement and the match process.
  • Coordinate with other internal HWL departments and agencies to resolve client and/or HCP matters. Maintain documentation and communicate any discrepancies found during clinical assessments
  • Complete clinical unit assessment calls with clients and attend new client conference call. Provide clinical support during the new client implementation process gathering clinical unit descriptions and other pertinent information which will allow for a successful candidate placement. 
  • Participate in on-site client meetings as needed to understand facility & unit-based requirements.
  • Help develop, track, and analyze clinical quality standards. Identify clinical quality trends for facilities, agencies, and HCPs
  • Create strategies to improve productivity and efficiency in the Clinical Team processes.
  • Be a champion for HWL goals, our people, and our mission, exemplifying our values, while supporting HWL’s strategic business building initiatives.
  • Foster an environment that values BOTH the client and healthcare professionals.



  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program
  • Active RN License
  • 5+ years in equivalent experience as a hospital unit director or manager with specific responsibility hiring travel nurses.
  • Must have strong understanding of healthcare staffing industry and hospital administration
  • Strong interviewing skills with attention to detail required
  • Must be computer proficient with experience using, Microsoft Outlook, Excel and word
