Overview

Responsible for directing the planning, organization, and implementation of Sales, and Business Development activities for the company.  Develops and maintains productive working relationships with customers that allow sales and marketing goals to be achieved. Ensures that customers are well satisfied with services.  Makes recommendations to management regarding services development, pricing, and sales projections.  Assists area personnel as needed. Manages all RFP responses, proposals and similar. Ensures that revenue goals are met or exceeded and works to develop markets in new industries and geographies.  Develops and executes sales plans and programs designed to increase sales, profits, and market share and to minimize expenses.

Description

  • Assumes responsibility for the planning, development, and implementation of effective Sales, and Business Development strategies and policies. 
  • Assumes responsibility for overseeing the development of new revenue opportunities with third parties and other business alliances.
  • Assumes responsibility for developing new market opportunities.
  • Assumes responsibility for developing and implementing effective pricing strategies.
  • Assumes responsibility for the development of effective promotion strategies.
  • Assumes responsibility for the effective performance of national sales activities.
  • Effectively manages the Company’s sales force, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Effectively manages Business Development team, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Assumes responsibility for ensuring professional relations with all customers, trade professionals, and external contacts.
  • Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective communication and coordination with Company associates and management.
  • Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.

Requirements

Education/Certification:    

Bachelor’s degree in business, or related field.

 

Required Knowledge:            

Excellent understanding of market penetration strategies, market development techniques, and market segmentation strategies.

Extensive knowledge of technology including trends, opportunities, and products.

                                                               

Experience Required:             

Ten or more years of related business development, and sales experience.

Five or more years of managerial experience.                                                               

Experience in managing volume selling.

 

Skills/Abilities:                          

Excellent leadership abilities.

Able to organize, coordinate, and direct projects.

Strong oral and written communications abilities.

Solid analytical and technical skills.

Able to travel consistently and sometimes with little notice.

Excellent presentation skills.
