Overview

The Executive Recruiter is responsible for sourcing and recruiting healthcare executives for clients of Jackson Physician Search. The successful candidate will have prior executive-level recruitment experience, preferably with a healthcare staffing or permanent placement firm, as well as superior C-suite client relations skills.

Description

  1. Consultatively partner with healthcare clients of Jackson Physician Search throughout all steps of the executive search.
  2. Travel, sometimes overnight, to conduct on-site client visits:
    • Create a JPS profile of the search including details about the client/team, facility, benefits, expectations, objectives, geographic location, etc., in order best communicate the opportunity to prospective candidates and execute the search.
    • Confirm client expectations, JPS responsibilities, and terms of the search agreement.
  3. Communicate at least weekly with each client regarding search activity and progress.
    • Advise clients of candidate feedback trends, target compensation suggestions, and/or opportunities to more effectively and successfully complete the executive search.
  1. Fully utilize all sourcing tools available from JPS to proactively search for executive candidates, including cold calling. In partnership with the JPS Marketing team, create effective position advertisements for open opportunities on relevant job boards and industry sites.
  2. Conduct thorough phone screens of executive candidates with attention to detail and prompt follow up. Ensure all candidate notes are entered into the company’s client and provider database/CRM.
  3. Oversee and manage the credentials and availability of candidates as required by the client and search agreement terms. Present qualified candidates to clients for review and feedback. As requested, assist with scheduling and arranging interviews between clients and candidates.
  4. Successfully achieve the key performance objectives of the Executive Recruiter position, including calls completed per day, submittals and interviews per month, and the target number of placements per year. Report objective progress to VP of Recruiting and/or the President as instructed.
  5. Additional travel as required for special projects, trade shows, career fairs, or company events.

Requirements

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: Bachelors degree in business or related field preferred, or equivalent experience and education. MBA and/or related certifications a plus.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE: Familiarity with the healthcare industry at the executive level, preferably from a third-party permanent placement firm perspective. Knowledge of relevant sourcing tools, strategies and best practices for permanent executive placement.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 5-7+ years’ experience in a similar role, preferably with a healthcare staffing firm. Experience sourcing, recruiting, presenting, and closing executive candidates required.

SKILLS/ABILITIES: Strong interpersonal, management and organizational skills to effectively manage and sustain positive client relationships. Excellent communication skills (verbal or written), including negotiation and networking. Sound business judgement and decision-making skills.
