    Description

    The Collections Specialist is responsible for assisting collection activities associated with all accounts including those involved in bankruptcy or legal proceedings. Assists the team in all collections functions including the control of credit accounts that are late, potentially delinquent, delinquent, or charged off. Assists in the resolution of difficult and complex account situations. Helps perform periodic evaluation of collections policies and procedures and modifies as needed. Ensures that established policies, procedures, and legal requirements are followed. This role is an entry level position, design to train into the Collections Specialist role.

     

    • Process check request initiated from the team (Storing those in central location)
    • Process credit and debit memos initiated from the team
    • Updating Credit/Debit memo monthly report
    • Handling the weekly (Specialized billing only) and Monthly billing for the divisions
    • Send out statements for all divisions to customers
    • Work with VMS Associate to audit billing, and upload time/expense billing to 3rd party VMS systems
    • Verify contact information for new bookings using the new start report, and update that information in Zeus
    • Back-up for administrative functions
    • Other duties assigned

    Requirements

    • Knowledge of basica Accounting functions preferred
    • Ability to work with Sales and Executive Management
    • Knowledge of account contract terms and agreements
    • Using strong Analytic ability to determine required steps of action

    • Strong analytical and technical skills (MS office applications and accounting software)
    • Excellent Written/Typed and Oral skills
    • Staffing agency/VMS experience preferred but not required
    • Strong customer/client Services background
    • Minimum 1 year experience within basic Accounting functions
