    Care Logistics (a Jackson Healthcare company) is searching for an industrial engineer with healthcare experience.

    The Transformation Engineer is responsible for working with the Transformation Team to drive the Care Logistics mission – to help hospitals transform their operations through a combination of mindset, methodology, and technology changes.

     

    With Care Logistics’ client hospitals, the Transformation Engineer, in partnership with the Executive Advisor and Solutions Engineer, leads the hospital through Care Logistics’ proven transformation methodology.  In this role, the Transformation Engineer serves as the knowledge resource and detailed process expert for the assigned client hospital.  Major responsibilities include change leadership at all levels of the client hospital, current state analysis, future state design, development of standard operating procedures, testing, training, and go-live support.    

    Description

    • Transformation and Solutions Delivery Functions
      1. In partnership with the Executive Advisor and Solutions Engineer, drive the transformation effort for client engagements. Serve as the knowledge resource and detailed process expert for assigned client.
        1. Participate in and present during the executive focus sessions and leader connect sessions
        2. Partner with hospital resources to design and implement the various aspects of Care Logistics proven transformation methodology
    • Document and analyze current state processes using six sigma and lean methodologies
    1. Design future state processes and recommend process changes to achieve transformational results
    2. Lead the development of Standard Operating Procedures
    3. Make recommendations for application configuration in support of future state recommendations
    • Train client resources on process-related aspects of the training curriculum
    • Audit client’s delivery of education/training for accuracy and completeness
    1. Support testing events to ensure technical solution meets expected future state and SOP targets
    2. Support go live events including operational (process) and technical go lives
    3. Conduct On-Path Reviews to assess client transformation results and make recommendations for continued improvement
    • Utilize data and analytics to evaluate client performance

     

    • Sales and Marketing
      1. Participate in Operational Discovery Audits as needed
        1. Conduct two day operational analysis of prospective hospital client operations
        2. Support presentation of operational discovery audit results to prospective client executives
      2. Support Vision Center events for prospective clients by playing a role in the interactive demo
      3. Attend and support additional sales events as requested

     

    • Product Management and Development
      1. Facilitate the feedback loop of subject matter expertise with Product Management
      2. Conduct market research and identify market trends as requested
      3. Assist with the clarification of market problems that potential clients are challenged with
      4. Serve as the voice of the customer in guiding Product Management and Development in design decisions for the technology

    Requirements

    Education/Certification:    

    Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field required 

    Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, health systems, or business preferred

     

    Knowledge:            

    Healthcare business process redesign consulting experience preferred

    Healthcare operations experience and domain knowledge preferred

    Fluency with all Microsoft Office products, including Visio, PowerPoint, Word and Excel required

     

    EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:             

    Three years’ experience in hospital/healthcare process improvement preferred

     

    Skills/Abilities:

    Ability to travel up to 80% required

    Ability to form strong team bonds and enhance team performance

    Strong organizational and quality management skills with ability to handle multiple, competing tasks and priorities

    Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively connect and communicate with a diverse group of stakeholders (prospects, clients, hospital executives, nurses, implementation staff, etc.)

    Above average observational skills to collect data and validate information

    Outstanding analytical skills with the ability to critically evaluate the information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, relate high-level information to details, and distinguish user requests from underlying business problems/needs.

    Ability to maintain confidentiality and use discretion
