    We are excited that our family of companies is growing rapidly and our Alpharetta, GA campus expansion is underway.  We are also excited for the opportunity to add top-caliber talent to our corporate technology group team.  The technology group is currently seeking a ServiceNow Engineer to add to our Infrastructure and Operations team.  This position will report to the Director of Infrastructure and Operations along with a team of other dedicated engineers and administrators as part of our Enterprise Applications team responsible for our corporate technology platforms and services.

    Description

    The primary responsibilities of the Enterprise Applications team members are to design, implement, support, and maintain reliable and scalable enterprise systems, software, and cloud solutions.  In addition, the team is responsible for escalated incident and problem resolution that involves analyzing complex problems, working with other engineers to identify root cause, and applying recommended solutions in a timely and effective manner.  They also work closely with front-line technical support associates and administrators, providing training opportunities as well as identifying methods and processes to standardize, automate and streamline technical processes and improve customer experiences.  Ownership, communication, and self-motivation are critical to the success of this role.  The work required will include acting as a technical resource on various projects, implementing new technology solutions or maintaining existing solutions.  Engineers are expected to continue development of technical skills through formal, product specific training as well as cross training on platforms with engineers and SMEs.  This workload should be managed independently and professionally while using all available tools to communicate and coordinate within the department.

     

    This position will be tasked with being the technical subject matter expert and platform owner for our Service Now implementation.  You will lead in developing and architecting the platform alongside the business owners within our operating companies and will be responsible for programmatically building customizations to and integrations with ServiceNow to suit business needs.  You will work closely with others who will assist in the daily ServiceNow administration and upkeep. 

    Requirements

    The successful candidate will have obtained a four-year Bachelor of Computer Science or Information Systems degree from an accredited university and will have gained applicable work experience in the technology industry of at least 5 years of progressively increasing responsibilities.  The following knowledge skills and abilities are also applicable to the successful candidate:

    • ServiceNow Platform administration, configuration and development including:
      •                Business Rules, Workflows, UI, Client Scripts, Security, Web Services Integration
    • Experience working with ServiceNow CMDB implementation
    • IT Service Management and ITIL principles and practices
    • UI and UX design and usability principles
    • Systems integrations, such as web services, Rest API's, SOAP, MID, etc.
    • Programming expertise in:
      • Java, JavaScript, J2EE, JSP, EJB, AngularJS, Glide, Jelly, HTML, CSS, XML, AJAX, JQuery, Bootstrap toolkit
      • Other functional programming languages and frameworks
    • Requirements elicitation
    • Shell Scripting
    • KPI, Report, Dashboard and Web Page development and implementation.
    • Workflow and forms development
    • SQL authoring and data modeling
    • ServiceNow Certification
    • Exceptional debugging and testing practices
    • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
    • Highly self-motivated, directed, and reliable, with keen attention to detail
    • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
    • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
    • Experience leading and participating in IT related projects
    • Proficient project and systems documentation and diagraming skills

    • Physical ability to install/configure infrastructure including lifting material up to 50 pounds
